SSC GD Constable 2021- Complete Selection Process

Candidates should have complete knowledge about the exam they are applying for. Therefore, we have discussed below the complete steps of the SSC GD Constable Recruitment process in the following points.

  • To start with, candidates must check and meet the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. There are various factors that the candidates must fulfill to be considered eligible for the exam. The candidates must be Indian citizen and their age limit must be between 18 years to 23 years. They must have passed 10th Standard or Matriculation from a recognized board. 
  • Secondly, after fulfilling the eligibility criteria, the candidates must submit the online application form along with the application fees on the official website before the last date. The application fee for General Male Candidates is Rs 100 and the application fee payment is exempted for the female/SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman category.
  • Only the candidates who have submitted the application form will be eligible to download the admit card from the official website. The admit card will be released few weeks before the commencement of the exam. Candidates need to enter login details to access the hall ticket.
  • Next, the eligible candidates will be called to appear for the first stage of the exam which is the Computer Based Test. There will be a total no of 100 questions with maximum marks of 100. The question paper comprises four sections that are English/Hindi Language, General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and Elementary Mathematics.
  • After, qualifying CBT exam, the shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST). All the candidates need to clear the exam in order to appear for the next round.
  • Only the candidates who have qualified PET and PST round will be eligible to appear for the last stage of the selection process which is the Detailed Medical examination. The medical exam rounds comprise of Haemoglobin, Eye-Sight Checkup, X-Ray, and etc. 
  • After the completion of all the stages of the exam, the final result is declared by the Staff Selection Commission on the official website. Once the candidates have qualified for all the rounds of the selection process, they will be considered eligible for the post.
